SUBJECT: Workshop on Sustainable Santee Plan
The City of Santee is developing a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) to meet State standards and requirements. The plan is entitled the Sustainable Santee Plan. This workshop is the first in a series designed to solicit public input on the plan. This first workshop will provide an introduction to the issue and will specifically address the following:
- Provide an overview of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
- Discuss the regulatory framework in California
- Describe the existing GHG emissions in Santee
- Describe State-required GHG reduction targets
Future workshops will discuss proposed methodologies for achieving these GHG reduction goals.
You are welcome to attend and provide comments. This workshop is informational only and the City Council will not take action on this item.
