How to Obtain a Fire Flow Report
The Padre Dam Municipal Water District provides fire flow reports for locations within our City for a nominal fee via their website here. Simply follow the application process and steps to obtain a report.
Private Fire Service Mains
The Santee Fire Department requires a construction permit (FIRE permit) for the installation of private fire service mains for automatic fire sprinkler systems and private fire hydrant systems.

Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems
The Santee Fire Department requires a construction permit (FIRE permit) for the installation and modification of private automatic fire sprinkler systems.
City-specific requirements:
- The City of Santee requires audio/visual alarms in place of the typical waterflow bell device per our municipal code.
- For NFPA 13 system plans
- Please include all items in the list from Section 28.1.3
- For NFPA 13R system plans
- Please include all items in the list from Section 8.1.7
- For NFPA 13D system plans
- Please include all items in the annex of Section 4.4
- Piping need only be hydrostatically tested at working pressure for 2 hours.
