In 2026, the City of Santee will join communities across the nation in commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States, a once-in-a-generation milestone honoring our nation’s history, service, resilience, and shared values.

Each month, families can explore Santee by finding and scanning a hidden QR code at locations and events across the City. Each check-in earns an entry into that month’s opportunity drawing.

Complete more activities to earn additional entries for a chance to win America250-themed prizes. Winners and new activities are released each month throughout the year.

Community Cleanup, Shred and Donation Event | 4/11/2026
- Spring into 250 with some spring cleaning at the Community Cleanup, Shred and Donation Event on Saturday, April 11 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Santee City Hall (10601 Magnolia Ave, Santee)
Patriotic Tie-Dye | 4/21/2026
- Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue…We will have a fun interactive Patriotic Tie Dye Experience at the Santee Teen Center at Big Rock Park on Tuesday, April 21 from 2:30 - 4:30 PM. Everyone is welcome! Make sure to bring a new item from home to dye, we'll supply the rest! Register Here for Free

April Winner will be announced on May 1, 2026 - Prize a $50.00 gift card to The Stand.

The Santee Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is producing 250 limited-edition challenge coins in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

Each coin is engraved with a unique year from 1776 to 2026, making every piece a one-of-a-kind collectible that honors a moment in our nation’s history.
