Draft Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Funding Plan – Public Comment Period
Published Friday, February 21, 2025The City of Santee has prepared a Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Funding Plan for submission to the State of California and invites public comments on the proposed plan.
The proposed Funding Plan will be available for public review from now through Wednesday, February 26th online (link below) and at the Office of the City Clerk, Santee City Hall, 10601 Magnolia Avenue, Santee, California 92071. The proposed Funding Plan will also be available from the link below.

Santee City Council will conduct a public hearing to review the proposed PLHA Funding Plan during the Council meeting on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., or soon thereafter as is practicable, in the City Council Chambers at Santee City Hall.
The State of California is authorized to provide $320 million over the next three years to local governments statewide for a variety of housing-related purposes. The State has indicated that the City of Santee is eligible to receive up to $433,336 over a three-year period. Per the proposed PLHA Funding Allocation Plan, the City proposes to use PLHA funds for the following purposes:
· Assisting persons who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness
· Accessibility modifications in lower-income owner-occupied housing, including
