Heatwave Safety Tips

We're expecting a heatwave this week! Be sure to take steps to keep safe from heat illness:
- Check on loved ones, and never leave kids or pets unattended in vehicles.
- Keep pets indoors or provide plenty of shade and water.
- Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and drink water often. Don't wait until you're thirsty.
- Avoid unnecessary hard work or activities if you are outside or in a building without AC.
- Stay in an air-conditioned area. AC is the strongest protective factor against heat-related illness.
